complex than in the past.<br \/>\nContemporary perspectives on landscape now incorporate notions of sustainability and everyday life, moving beyond traditional emphases on beautification and decoration. Landscape is increasingly understood not as a static, fixed physical environment, but as one shaped through ongoing interaction and perception between people and their surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>This evolving concept of landscape emphasizes a balance between meaning, function, and aesthetics in the creation of environments. Accordingly, the landscape profession \u2014 and landscape education \u2014 must build upon traditional foundations of planning, design, and construction, while further embracing the concept of landscape management.
